Practice Tracker

The Practice Tracker records practice sessions and measures them against a goal you set. It has two modes:

Simple mode — The student taps a star for each session they complete. Each star represents one practice session. When the goal count is reached, the tracker fires confetti and a celebratory sound, and a sticker prompt appears so you can award a sticker. Simple mode is best when you just want a count of "how many times did you practice."

Advanced mode — The student uses a Start / Pause / Finish workflow to time each session. Each finished session is logged with its duration. The tracker also has a goal duration (default 20 minutes) alongside the session count goal. Progress counts sessions completed and total time spent. Like Simple mode, reaching the goal triggers confetti, sound, and a sticker prompt.

Goals — The default goal is five sessions. You can change the session goal count, and in Advanced mode you can also set a duration goal. Once the tracker is saved, the mode is locked — you can't switch between Simple and Advanced after a student has started logging.

Practiceathon integration — If your school has an active practiceathon during the lesson period, the tracker detects it automatically and logs practice time and sessions toward the practiceathon as well as the lesson-level goal.

Save the tracker before handing it to the student. Once saved, families can see progress in the Hub.

Practice Bingo

Practice Bingo generates a bingo card filled with practice prompts. The student checks off each square as they complete it. When they complete a row, column, or diagonal, it counts as a bingo.

Setting up the card — Choose a grid size (4×4, 5×5, 6×6, or 7×7), whether to include a free center square (available on odd-sized grids), an optional instrument filter to pull prompts relevant to the student's instrument, and optional category filters to focus on particular areas. Once you save and the card is generated, these settings are locked — the student can start ticking immediately.

Milestones and stickers — Reaching each milestone triggers confetti and a celebration sound: completing one line, completing two lines, and filling the entire card. Each milestone also fires a sticker prompt, so you can award a different sticker for each level of achievement.

Regenerating — You can regenerate a new card from the settings panel as long as the student hasn't ticked any squares yet. Once a square is ticked, regeneration is disabled for that instance to protect the student's progress. If you want a fresh card, you would delete the tool and add a new one.

Families — Parents and students can both tick squares in the Hub, so home practice can be recorded without the teacher's involvement.

Randomise My Practice

The dice tool picks a random instruction based on a roll of one or two dice. It's designed to make students think differently about a passage rather than always practising the same way.

Aspects — Before rolling, the student (or teacher) selects what aspect to randomise. The options are: decide myself (the dice roll is just for fun), number of repetitions, metronome speed, bar number to begin at, how many bars to play, which hand, dynamic level, and a combination of tempo and dynamic. Some options automatically switch to two dice (metronome speed, which maps one die to a rhythm value and one to a BPM; and tempo + dynamic, which maps each die independently).

Rolling — Press Roll the dice to animate the roll. The dice images shuffle rapidly while a rolling sound plays; when the sound ends, the final result appears with a plain-English instruction: "Play at mf.", "Begin at bar 3.", "Play left hand." and so on.

No saving required — The dice tool doesn't store any data. You can insert it into a note, use it, and remove it, all without a Save step. Because nothing is stored, there's also nothing to see in the Hub — it's a live-lesson tool.
