From one lesson note to every student
Add a resource to a lesson note, find it in your library, organise it, then insert it into another student's lesson note.
What we covered
We worked on the C major scale, hands together, listening for an even tone.
Practice tasks
- Play the scale, hands together, five minutes a day
- Check the fingering on the practice sheet
Add a file to Maya's lesson note
Upload it in a lesson note. It is already in your library.
If you upload a file from your computer into a student's lesson note, it is automatically catalogued in the library, ready for you to use with all of your other students.
You do not need to set up your library before you start teaching. Add things in the lesson, when you need them. If you upload a file that is already in your library, Octavia reuses the one you have rather than storing a second copy.
Find any file, and see every place you have used it
The search interface makes your files easy to manage. Find all the files you have uploaded for a specific student, or see all the places you have used a particular file.

Grant or revoke access to a file in one place
Delete a file in your library and it is hidden straight away from the lesson notes it was used in, and from your students' and parents' libraries. Restore it and access is back. Octavia shows you where a file is used before you confirm.
Deleted files stay in Recently deleted for 30 days, so a file removed by mistake can be restored.

Catalogue YouTube links the same way
If you have some awesome YouTube resources that you regularly provide to students, store them in your library for easy reuse.
There is no need to go searching on YouTube for the video, then copy and paste the link. Add it to a lesson note straight from your library.

Save the Practice Mode setup you have created for a particular recording or YouTube video, and reuse it across students.
If you have a certain way you want students to practise a technical exercise or a particular scale, there is no need to explain it 15 times to 15 students. Insert the exercise from your library with its Practice Mode setup and it is ready to go.
Each student's lesson note gets its own copy of the setup, so you can adjust it for one student without changing anyone else's.

Students and parents get their own My Library
In the Hub, students and parents have a My Library of their own. It gives them direct visibility into all of the resources you have shared with them in their lesson notes, plus any practice or performance recordings they have made for themselves.
Families see what you have placed in their lesson notes. Nothing in your library is visible to them until you use it in a note, and you control whether they can download files.
My Library
All the files, recordings and videos your teacher has added to your lesson notes, and your own performance recordings.
